"Several weeks ago, at different times,  I approached two local plumbers and asked them to fit a water pressure reducing valve and a non-return valve to allow me to replace a faulty water softener.

On both occasions I was offered an attendance date, but not one of the plumbers arrived.

What I find galling is not one of them was decent enough to even contact me as to why they had not attended as promised.

As the faulty softener was in a pantry this necessitated removing a large freezer, a small freezer, a washing machine and dismantling of a shelf. These items had to be stored in my kitchen taking up a lot of space.

In desperation I turned to you, asking if you could fit me in a.s.a.p.  

At 0900hrs on the second day of contacting you, a fitter, by the name of Ricky, arrived to carry out my request. I would like to add that the young gentleman is a credit to you.. Not only did he provide a cloth to protect my hallway and then swept up the small amount of mess made, his attitude was very pleasing. A fine Ambassador for  your company.

I'd like to take this opportunity to commend the dedication & commitment of Rick Wilcock to his work. He was never fazed with the many challenges which were revealed as the project unfolded. He is a person whom I feel thrives on a challenge and will not be defeated. He took them in his stride and always has a solution to the many caveats thereby allowing the project to remain on track throughout. I found him to be extremely reliable, extremely knowledgeable in his skilled profession and a great advocate for DJ Harris. He was always polite and kept things tidy throughout and at the end of each day. He assisted the tiler once the initial plumbing aspects has been completed and together they transformed the room to my expectations. This was a partnership which worked extremely well. From start to finish the project took 10 working days.

Stuart Cooper the tile offered great advice and was willing to make adjustments to the fabric of the room in order for the finished result to be as I had expected. Stuart is a great tradesman to have where projects of this nature require someone to think outside the box. He had all the tools and gadgets you'd expect of someone passionate about their trade. Stuart was equally as tidy where this allowed and was considerate to my property. I wish I'd known of him previously as I would've used him on other projects too.

The small contribution by the electrician, Lee Smith was not overlooked or in anyway less significant than the other two trades.

It was a great team effort overall and would I recommend or use DJ Harris again, the answer to that is with the utmost candour and would be an unequivocal 'Yes'. The quality of the workmanship is often difficult to find and indeed trust but those provided by DJ Harris were unquestionably at the top of their trade. Whilst the vision of the project was mine, both Rick & Stuart were able to realise this for me through their own professionalism.
